Moose Hugs for My Guy

Just a reminder that the theme for this month's challenge is My Guy and we hope to see you playing along.
I just had to play along. The Whittle animals were what initially drew me to Poppystamps. They were just perfect for my two young teen (at the time) sons and my husband. The Whittle are very cute, but not cutesy! And now that there are multiple stamp sets full of punny little sayings for them, they show up on virtually every card that I make for them. Of course, you all know that Poppystamps has so much more than the Whittle animals - have you seen the newest release of flowers and butterflies? Gorgeous!
I wanted to send my oldest son a big "hug" so I pulled out the Playful Hugs die then what better to go along with that hug than this jaunty Whittle Moose. To decorate the "hugs", I adhered 1/4" strips of colored paper to some scratch paper and then cut the hugs. If you try this, be sure to apply adhesive to the very edge of each strip of paper. If you don't, some of the smaller pieces at the top and bottom of the "hugs" won't stick. Trust me on this!
I knew it was going to be a small scene so I wanted to frame it to make it pop. I used the stitched inner frame from one of the Scalloped Stitch Frames. Then I cut the sky and the ground pieces just slightly larger than the inner dimensions of the frame and adhered it to the back of the frame. I adhered the "hugs" and the moose with the moose getting slightly tangled in the sentiment. I filled in the sky with a few Whittle Clouds.
I gave the background just a bit of decoration using the Double Diamond Lattice Plate in white on the kraft.
