Perfect Posies Congratulations

Wedding season is upon us so I wanted to make a card for my stash. I have a couple weddings coming up so I know this will come in handy! I am really into clean and simple cards these days, and I love how this one turned out. It reminded me of white lace. Let's dive into the details.

First, using the Pinpoint Half Ring Plate, I foiled the pattern with matte gold glimmer foil onto white cardstock trimmed to 5.25 x 4 inches. If you've never foiled a regular, cutting die, it is so easy! Just foil as you normally would. The resulting foil is not as prominent, especially not with this plate as only the raised areas that would have pierced the paper were foiled. It is a little hard to tell in the photos since the effect is subtle, but in real life it adds a really pretty detail and just a hint of gold shimmer.

Next, I die cut a large panel of white cardstock using the Perfect Posies Bouquet die. I die cut the panel three times. With spray adhesive, I glued the die cuts on top of the background. I filled the entire card front with the posies, adding small bits to fill any gaps. If I made this card again, I would add additional definition by layering the posies for more dimension.

After finishing the background, I worked on the focal flowers and sentiment. From the Vintage Pastel paper pad, I die cut the Petite Blooms Flower Set in gold. I also cut the Petite Blooms from white cardstock and layered them together. I adhered three gold flowers and added a fairy jewel to the flower centers. Lastly, I added a sentiment from the Modest Greetings 1 foil and cut die set. I foiled the sentiment with matte gold glimmer foil.
