PSC#90 Pretty Papers

Challenge Badge copy

Welcome to the Poppystamps Challenge! We're so happy you've stopped by, and we sure hope you'll join us! On the first of the month, we announce a new Poppystamps Challenge with a central theme. The design team will provide samples for inspiration, and you can play along through the end of the month for your chance to win.

The winner of our blog badge for the Poppystamps Challenge #89 Heart-Felt is  Karen Ladd

Dream

The lucky winner of the draw (chosen by random number generator) for the monthly prize is Lagene!

Please contact me (Jeanne) at [email protected] to claim your prize.

Want to play?

The rules are simple - just create a project following the theme, use at least one Poppystamps image or die, and link it up here. The design we love best will receive our winner badge to proudly display on their blog, and one lucky random winner will receive a prize. You don't have to have a blog to play.  You can link to any online gallery. In fairness to other players, we reserve the right to remove entries that do not use at least one Poppystamps image. We ask that you link a maximum of  3 entries to each challenge. You are welcome to link your design to other challenges. Grab our badge to post on your blog post or sidebar!

2022-03

PSC#90 - Pretty Papers! Sometimes your designs need a little extra pop and that's where pretty papers come to the rescue! The addition of pattern paper, glitter, foil or pearlescent makes everything just a little more special. Making a masculine card? How about some cork, wood veneer or glossy papers? This time we want you to add some pretty papers to your design. The challenge is not limited to cards - we'd love to see your page layouts, home decor, tags, and mixed media. It's your choice, just be sure to use at least one Poppystamps image (stamp or die) on your project!

Need a little inspiration? Here are some samples from our design team. Want a closer look? No worries. We'll be featuring these projects on Wednesdays throughout the month, so you can see how each project was created.

Meet our March Guest - Rachel Duffy - who was selected by Sphoorti from our design team! Sphoorti says she's in awe of Rachel, who creates and sells beautiful cards and alcohol art - all for a good cause. All of Rachel's proceeds go to the British Heart Foundation. On top of that, Rachel uses 100% recycled products for her card bases, and tries to use other recycled materials as much as she can when she makes cards. Generous and kind - not just to people but the environment, too!

I got into cardmaking in early 2020, accidentally, as a result of trying to find ways to use up off-cuts of my alcohol ink paintings. I still love painting, but have also fallen in love with cardmaking as it enables me to more quickly create small pieces of artwork that I can easily mail to friends and family. I love creating cards with lots of color and sparkle (as my Insta handle implies!) to brighten up people's days.

Thank you for picking my card for your Blog Badge, and congratulations to Lagene for her win! Poppystamps products are always a favorite.

Hi Jeanne, Congratulations to the lucky winners, enjoy !!
Fabulous guest designer, I admire Rachel for supporting The British Heart Foundation with her crafting 'makes'. They hold a special place in my heart as my beloved Dad died of a massive heart attack back in 1974. Good luck in all you do and achieve, Rachel.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
