Rainbow Wishes
by Sue McRae
It’s a shiny new week at Poppystamps and I’m here with a fun unicorn card using the new Whittle Rainbow Unicorn Kit. I think this kit would be a perfect gift for a child or unicorn loving crafter as it contains stamps and dies!
All the colourful parts of my card (the rainbow, sentiment and unicorn mane) are die cut pieces of alcohol ink yupo paper that I had in my stash. I’m always looking for ways to use up my smaller paper pieces.
I die cut the unicorn from white woodgrain paper for a little texture and the clouds are covered with white flock for a nice soft fuzzy feel. Felt would be a great alternative to the flock.
For a little sparkle and shine I used gold glitter paper behind the sentiment and for the unicorn horn and wings.
To add some interest to the background I took a tracing wheel (it’s a tool used in sewing) to add wavy dotted lines on my panel. The rainbow sentiment is white heat embossed on black cardstock and cut out by hand.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today and have a great week!
