Time to Sparkle
by Kim Singdahlsen

It's still the season to send some sparkle!!  As I was looking through the fabulous products in the 2021 Holiday Release, the first thing that caught my eye that I just had to play with was the Wintertime Sentiments clear stamp set. I adore snowflakes and this set is all about the snowflake frame with fourteen different sentiments for the inside.  When I pulled it out, I was thinking elegant - maybe embossed with glitter powder or watercolored with sparkly blues.  But the next thing that caught my eye was the Whittle Friendly Snowman. And with that the card quickly came together!

I wanted a slightly different look so I picked glitter paper for the stripes and for my friendly snowman's accessories in pinks, oranges and yellows instead of the traditional blues.  I did the stamp in white on black paper but added a few coordinating jewels in the centers.

The sentiment seemed just right for all of my sparkle, but this set has so many choices - from thank yous to "winter wishes" to "winter is warmer with you".  It's really an all-purpose winter set.

After die-cutting the snowflake frame, I popped it with dimensional adhesive, then popped the snowman on top of that.  It's such a simple thing to do and gives a card that extra dimension that really catches the eye.

I've already told you about how much I love the sentiment set and I can't forget the snowman.  As with all the Whittles, his expression just makes me happy. As I was cutting and stamping and adhering, he just sat on my desk and looked at me and made me smile.  Whittles are so much fun to work with!!  And this one definitely knows it's "time to sparkle"!Kim Floral Signature copy
