Shaker Joy
by Sue McRae
Hello crafty friends! Welcome to my last post of 2021! Can you believe Christmas is only 4 days away! Eeek, where did December go!
Today I have a simple shaker card using the Double Joy die set. This set comes with a solid die and an outline die, giving you lots of combinations on using them in your projects. I took the solid die and die cut it three times from the white panel. I put aside the white letters and will use them for another project.
I die cut the solid Joy from red and green card stock and the outline Joy from gold glitter card stock. I inlaid the red and green letters and adhered acetate to the back of the middle Joy. This will be the shaker part. On the back of the panel I added foam tape around the word and filled it with clay candy and seed beads, removed the foam backing and attached a piece of white card stock for the backer.
The panel was attached to my card base and I added the gold glitter outline pieces to the middle Joy. The sentiment was white heat embossed on black card stock and I die cut the holly leaves and berry from glitter card stock for the finishing touch.
Thanks so much for visiting with me today. I would like to thank the followers who are always kind enough to leave comments on my post, it is appreciated! Wishing everyone a most wonderful Christmas and all the best in the New Year! I’ll see you in 2022!
