Poinsettia Joy
by Tiffany Pryce
Hey Poppy peeps! I can't believe it's November already. I am in holiday card making mode as I don't want to scramble to get them all done at the last minute. I saw the new Contempo Poinsettia and Stencil craft die from Memory Box and thought it would be fun to combine it with some Poppystamps products to make a clean and simple holiday card.
First, I stenciled several poinsettia flowers onto an A2 panel of white cardstock. I used jewel-toned dye ink in blues and purples. After stenciling, I die cut the panel using the Scalloped Stitch Frames. I centered the largest and second to largest frames and die cut both at the same time. For a little dimension and variety, I popped up various frames with foam tape and adhered them back into place.
I used the Contempo Poinsettia die to die cut two floral outlines. The outline has to be cut from the larger die cut, but it is easy to do in two simple snips. I die cut two frames - one from silver glitter cardstock from the Majestic Hues Glitter Pad and one from white cardstock that I lightly ink blended with the same dye ink. For the center, I die cut a circle from the Stitched Circle Layers die set. The sentiment was die cut from silver glitter cardstock using the Marzipan Alphabet craft die. Finally, I added clear Fairy Crystals to the flower centers. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!
