Bird House Card
Candice Crawford

Poppystamps Thanks Giving Post 1

Well Hello there Crafty friends, and to all the viewers in the United States, "Happy Thanksgiving."  The winter season is now among us here in Michigan and what better way to bring on the the season than a festive winter themed card. The Bird House Pop-Up Easel set paird with the new Wintertime Sentiments stamps make a great combo.

For the card base I am using a 4.25 x 5.5 inch piece of plaid pattern paper from the new Woodsy Plaid 6x6 Paper Pad from Memory Box that I adhered to a white cardbase. This patterned paper goes well with any woodsy themed project and is perfect for masculine themed cards.

Although this die set is meant to make pop-up easel cards the focal image of the birdhouse and bird are great die cut imges for regular A2 size or A7 size cards. The birdhouse was die cut from the new woodgrain cardstock from Memory Box and the snow and accents, cardinal, greenery and bird house accents were all die cut from colored cardstock scraps from my stash.

This die set is a must have for your collection as it can be used for various seasons, and perfect for masculine card desings. The sentiment was stamped in Versa Fine Onxy Black ink. While the birdhouse was sponged with Vintage Photo distress ink to provide more dimension and depth to the the focal image of the card.  The whole image was popped up on 3M foam tape.
