Joy

Hey Poppy peeps! Tiffany here. Did you catch the amazing IG hop the design team participated in yesterday? So many inspiring cards using the new Poppystamps release! If you haven't seen it yet, please head over to the Poppystamps IG account to start at the beginning. Don't forget that you have a chance to win a prize at every stop of the hop. What an incredible opportunity!
Today, I'm sharing how I made my sample from yesterday's hop. I featured a mash up of products from the whole Birch Press Designs family, including the new Poppystamps Ornament Background die. To start, I embossed a panel of white cardstock with the new Ringadings 3D Embossing Folder from Memory Box. I matted it with a piece of red cardstock.
Next, I die cut white cardstock with the Ornament Background die twice for added dimension. I adhered the background die cuts together with spray adhesive. I also die cut pieces of an alcohol ink panel that I had in my stash from just the ornament portion of the die. I did not have a large alcohol ink panel, so cutting it into pieces to fit what I wanted to die cut helped save paper. To create the alcohol ink panel, I just blended a variety of green alcohol inks together with a lot of isopropyl alcohol and ink splatters for texture. I inlayed the ornaments in place with liquid glue. To finish the ornaments, I shaded the tops with copic markers - C1, C3, and C5.
Lastly, I embellished the card with holiday foliage, berries and a sentiment. I die cut several leaves from various green cardstock with the Memory Box Pine Needle Trio die and the Poppystamps Cabin Snowglobe Pop Up Easel. I die cut the berries from an alcohol ink panel that I created with red and pink inks. The sentiment is one I use frequently. It is the Joy Honey Script die from Birch Press. I die cut it from two layers of white cardstock and once from red foil from the Polished Foil Paper pad. I attached the completed card front to a side-folding, A2 card base.
Hope you enjoyed my card! And don't forget to hop along with the team for more inspiration. Until next time, happy crafting!
