Hugs
by Tiffany Pryce
Happy Thursday! Tiffany here with some more Poppystamps inspiration. I decided to play along with the challenge this month and use Washi tape. I don't feature Washi tape that often, but I should! It is an easy way to add a fun element to any papercraft. For this card, I kept it simple and used the Washi tape as a background to my die cuts.
To start, I added the Cornelia Aqua Wide Washi tape to a panel of heavyweight, white cardstock. It is much easier to roll out the Washi tape if you cut a scrap piece of cardstock and attach it at the end of the tape. I think it gives you something to hold on to as you roll out the tape smoothly on a piece of cardstock. After I adhered the Washi, I die cut the panel with the Stitched Rectangle Layers die. I die cut a few more layers with scrap cardstock for dimension behind this panel.
Next, I die cut the Village Rose and Background die several times from light and dark purple cardstock from the Twilight Purple paper pack. I adhered the layers together with liquid glue and adhered it to the Washi tape panel randomly. I trimmed off any excess flowers.
Next, I die cut the sentiment. Using the Big Hugs Sugar Script die, I die cut the shadow layer from vellum and the top layer three times from white cardstock. Finally, I added clear Fairy Drops around the panel to fill in the gaps and add a little shine. I really like this sweet and simple card to send a little love to a friend. Hope you will join us for the Washi challenge this month!

Hi Tiffany, Gorgeous !! I absolutely love that you have used my favourite stitched rectangle die set, the washi is so pretty and I adore the vellum shadow on the sentiment, so effective.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
