Crystal Lingo
by Sue McRae
Happy Monday crafters! I have two colourful cards today using the Crystal Lingo stamp set.
I started by heat embossing the cool geometric slim line rectangle shape twice in clear embossing powder on watercolour paper.
To ink the designs I took my Distress Inks and just swiped and smooshed them onto the panels. One panel was done in rainbow colours, the other in green, aqua and blue. I then liberally sprayed each piece with water and let it dry on its own.
For the rainbow card I die cut the Marzipan Alphabet from black cardstock to create the word because. I like the fun shapes of these letters and the added cut lines the dies create for each letter. It’s a great detail and adds texture to the letters. It is kind of hard to see this on the black cardstock.
To finish off this card I stamped the sentiment and added a bunch of Fairy Jewels that match the Distress Inks perfectly.
For the birthday card I stamped the sentiment in black ink on white cardstock and coloured the letters with two shades of yellow Copics. There are matching dies for the sentiments making it quick to get a close cut for the words. To finish off this card I added clear Fairy Drops.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today and have a great crafty week!

Hi Sue, Two fantastic cards, I love what you have done with the geometric die-cuts and the colours, to me the geometric shapes look 3-D in these cards.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
I love the colors that you used. Could you tell me which reds you used? I don't know that any of the ones I have are that bright!! Thank you!
Rainbows are always so fun, thanks for this fab inspiration!
