Hi there! How are you all? Kids back in school? A bit more free time to create? Let's look at one of the new Deco dies in the shop now. Art Deco has endless design possibilities! I used the Arched Deco Plate for a  card for a dear friend.

I began by die cutting the plate, not twice but 3 times in purple, gold and aqua foil. I would suggest using your shim for a clean cut.

There are many ways to attach layers. My favorite is glue in a tiny pointed tipped bottle. You can use spray adhesive, or run the pieces through a Xyron machine. Because the cardstock and foiled stock is heavier, it keeps its shape while gluing. The glue dries quickly so you have to move along quickly, but you don't need to glue each and every piece.

After embossing the sentiment, I popped up the framed piece  with foam.

What do you do with intricate framed pieces? I love backing them with contrast color for an extra pop! Hopefully you'll give this a try, if you haven't done so already.

Have a great and crafty week!

Beautiful layering

Hi Nancy, Beautiful colours, beautiful die-cuts and a beautiful creation !! I love how you have cut the art nuvo die numerous times in different colours and then 'offset' them, a brilliant look, I love the technique.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

That card is amazing!
