You're Fintastic

Hi there crafty friends, Candice here back on the blog to share another card using the new 3D wave embossing folder from Memory box and the new Whittles dies from Poppystamps. I am loving this embossing folder from Memory Box as it is perfect for making summer water themed cards.
The supplies to make today's card include the Whittle dolphin die, the Whittle Sealife Sentiments stamp set from Poppystamps and the Wave 3D embossing folder from Memory.
Today's card uses the same technique of ink blending Distress Oxide inks in Tumbled glass, Prize Ribbon and Chipped Sapphire for the background as I did on yesterday's car. Then embossing the paper with the 3D embossing folder and sanding off the raised edges to create definition on the wave pattern.
To create the "killer whale" image I die cut the whittle dolphin once from black cardstock then again from white cardstock. trimmed off the bottom portion of the black dolphin and adhered it to the white dolphin die cut with some liquid adhesive. I then used my white jelly pen to give the eyes the white detail.
I then stamped the sentiment, "You're Fintastic" in Versafine black onyx ink. Then added some water splash detail with a fine tip sharpie marker. Lastly for an added touch on the card I added a strip of silver cardstock at the top of the card for some more dimension and detail.

Hi Candice, Another beauty of a card !! I agree with you, this embossing folder is ideal for water themed cards. I love how you have created the whale from black and also white. A true 'beauty' of a card. Thank you for the tutorial.
