Sunny Hugs
by Michele K. Henderson

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I am sending bright and sunny hugs with one of our brand new, beautiful Deco Plates, Arched Deco Plate! The tiny curved arches remind me of little sun rises at the start of each new day. Take a look!

I chose fresh, bright colors to create a detailed paper piecing card with a warm message, HUGS, cut from the Marzipan Alphabet.

I started by cutting the Arched Deco Plate in crisp white, the adhered it to a fresh blue background and mounted it to my card base. Then I cut the Arched Deco Plate again in yellow, and carefully added each piece in it's correct location with craft scissors and a bit of glue.

Once the yellow pieces were in place, I cut the Arched Deco Plate in vibrant green, and added the little pieces once again. There are so many natural elements these shapes remind me of, like the sun, trees, or a tiny ocean scene. Maybe these shapes remind you of soft, pleasing symmetrical pattern, or an Egyptian motif popular during the Art Deco period. Either way, this panel makes a beautiful background to a detailed card.

Once all the paper pieces were in place, I cut the word HUGS from the Marzipan Alphabet in bright pink and grey, and added them to the card. A few blooms from the Fern and Daisy Pop-Up Easel Set and this card is ready to slide into an envelope for a favorite sentimental friend.

Thanks so much for joining us today and taking a look! There's always something new and pretty happening here at Poppystamps every day! Come back for more!

Hi Michele, This is a sunny and happy card, the art deco die set looks like a 'stained glass window', the colours are lovely, I love it.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
