Art Deco Happy Birthday
by Tiffany Pryce
Hello friends! Tiffany here with more Art Deco inspiration from the Summer Theater release. When I was thinking about this card, the Wizard of Oz kept coming to mind. The glitz, green, and opulence of the Emerald City was my inspiration, along with the sample from the Poppystamps website.
Here's a look at all of the supplies I used for this card. I like that it is easy to mass produce with minimal supplies and can be customized to fit your recipient. Another bonus is that it is flat so it will go through the mail easily.
I started by trimming a piece of pattern paper from the Garden Folly paper pack. I choose a pattern with geometric shapes to go along with the Art Deco theme. Anyone else keep pattern paper forever? I encourage you to use it as a background to any card! Then, I die cut the Reeded Deco Curve Border die from green foil cardstock from the Polished Foil Pad. I die cut twice to create the border around my sentiment. The emerald green color is so pretty.
For the sentiment, I die cut an oval from the center of my pattern paper. I ink blended some dark green dye ink around the edges for a halo effect, and silver heat embossed a sentiment from the Art Deco Birthday Greetings stamp set. Finally, I added green Fairy Jewels around my card for a little sparkle.
