Tickled Pink
by Nancy Penir
When I compose a card, it's usually with a purpose in mind, like a birthday, or get well. Hi there Poppy friends! Nancy here, and I've got a fun Whittle card for you today, with a technique using embossing folders and ink pads.
The embossing folder is brushed with ink, either using the ink pad directly or with a brush. Direct application of the ink pad gives it a richer more vibrant color. It's your choice as to what you want the background to look like. Soft or vibrant. Then the paper is inserted in the ef, and run through the machine.
This card was done with the ink pad.
I took this picture outside, which gives a better color representation. I love how the wave crests stay white.
Indoors, lighting is always tricky. The colors seem softer.
Poppystamps embossing folders are amazing! Deep and textured, you can see the waves and how they roll.
Hope you try this technique, if you haven't already. Lots of embossing folders to choose from in the shop right now.
Happy Crafting!

I am not really into the flamingos but I love how you have combined it with that embossing folder and the beautiful flowers!
Hi Nancy, This is a brilliantr technique with the inkpad and embossing folder, it certainly takes any embossing folder to another level, and here combined with the die-cuts you have created a stunning card.
Take care.
