Big HUGS
by Candice Crawford
Hi there crafty friends! Hope you are doing well and staying safe.
The new release from Poppystamps is jammed pack with goodness. There are so many new items it was hard to choose just one for today's project. Therefore I decided to combine many of the new dies together to create a super simple, quick and easy card.
For today's card, I am using the new Pinpoint Half Ring Cover Plate. Along with the new Playful Hugs and Whittles Cactus Trio dies. For the square focal point image, I am using the double stitch square frames die.
This card comes together quickly and easily.
Simply die cut the Pinpoint Half Ring Cover plate from a piece of white card stock as your base layer to your A2 size card. Then die cut the cacti from two different shades of green cardstock. Then with the double stitch square frames die cut a square frame from some grey cardstock. Lastly die cut the hugs sentiment four times from some black cardstock.
To create the desert sand, take a scrap piece of kraft cardstock measuring 2.75 inches in length and with a pair of scissors, cut two hills. With a 2.75 x 2.75 inch piece of white cardstock, sponged on some Mustard Seed distress oxide ink onto the center of the panel. Then adhered your cacti to the card with some liquid adhesive, popping up the center catcus with foam tape. Add a small red circle to the top of the center cactus using a small hole punch.
Next adhered the 4 stacked hugs sentiment pieces together with some liquid adhesive. Then take the square panel with the catci and adhered the grey double stitch square frame. Pop up the entire image onto the Pinpoint card panel using some 3M foam adhesive. Lastly add the entire card front to a black A2 size card base. This card is so adorable and I was amazed at how quickly it came together.
I hope you have enjoyed today's card share and found inspiration. Until next time...Happy Crafting!
