Speckled Eggs for Easter
by Kim Singdahlsen
I was totally charmed by the silhouettes of the Spring Bunnies in the latest release so I wanted to use it on a clean and simple Easter card. I also used the new Farm Fresh Eggs die (which cuts seven different-sized eggs at one time!) tucked behind the Little Bits Turf. The sentiment is the new Splendid Happy Easter die.
My original thought was to create bright and cheerful eggs but as I looked at the new plaid paper by Memory Box along with their beautiful new cardstock packs, I decided to go with a bit more natural look. The cardstock has a soft look so I simply splattered it with some gold and white. (The gold goes along with the gold stripes in the paper and the golden sentiment.)
Besides white, I also die cut a bunny from a light color out of the Earth Neutral cardstock pad then just slightly offset it. That gives my bunny a bit of a shadow and makes him pop from the white background.
I hope you enjoyed this fresh and clean Easter cards. It comes together very quickly so you could easily mass produce a card like this. To keep it fun for you to do multiples, you could change up the plaid and egg colors and you could use the other bunny in the Spring Bunnies die.
