Quick and Simple Birthday Card
by Sue McRae
Hello crafty friends, Sue here with a quick and simple card.
Sometimes it’s okay to make more complicated and time consuming cards and sometimes you need to have a card come together quickly. Today it’s all about the simple card.
If I break down this card design it’s 3 dies to make the background, 1 die for the sentiment and 1 die for embellishments. But you can easily change it and only use 2 of the dies for the background or leave out the flower embellishments, making it an even quicker card design.
To make the card come together quickly I went with a monochromatic colour scheme. All I had to do was pick one colour, purple, and by using the Memory Box Twilight Purple Paper Pack the 4 complementary shades are already chosen for me.
I die cut the 3 background dies, adhered them together and attached them to my card base.
The Happy Birthday Flourish was die cut from white cardstock for a bit of contrast.
I used the small blooms from the Floral Cluster to add to the sentiment flourish and added some black gems to the flower centres.
I love it when a card comes together so easily!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today and have a great crafty week!
