Happy Easter Card
by Candice Crawford
Happy Wednesday crafty friends! Hope you are doing well and staying safe.
Easter is this Sunday and there is still time to make your handmade Easter cards. If you a bit of inspiration, the new Woven Basket Pop Up Easel set is perfect for making your 2021 Easter cards.
This set comes with the basket shaped cardbase, a layering piece for the basket along with the basket, grass, and bow. You can make the card as a Pop-up easel card or simply layer the basket image onto an A2 size card like I did here.
This card came together quickly and easily.
First, I die cut the basket image from some cream colored cardstock and and inked the raised portions of the image with my Gathered Twigs distress oxide ink.
Next, I die cut the layering piece of the basket from some white cardstock and inked the center of the panel with some Tumbled Glass distress ink. Then I die cut the grass image from some green cardstock.
I adhered the grass image to detailed basket image. then adhered both pieces to the white basket layer panel.
Next I die cut the easter eggs from the new Farm Fresh Eggs die from white cardstock and colored the eggs with my Kitch Flamingo, Cracked Pistachio and Mustard Seed distress ink. I also die cut the easter bunny for the basket from some chocolate brown cardstock using the Spring Bunnies die. Lastly I die cut the bow and sentiment from some gold colored cardstock.
I adhered the grass, eggs, bunny and bow to the basket using some liquid adhesive. Then I attached the completed basket to the white basket layering piece. I popped up the entire basket image onto a pink A2 size cardbase using some 3M foam adhesive. Lastly I added the Happy Easter die cut sentiment to the card. This card is so adorable and I was amazed at how quickly it came together.
I hope you have enjoyed today's card share and found inspiration. Until next time...Happy Crafting!
