Floral Hello
by Jeanne Jachna
Thanks for stopping by! I thought I'd share a little sunshine because who couldn't use a little pick me up? I'm looking forward to seeing some blooms soon in the garden. I'm excited because I'm starting to see greenery from daffodil, hyacinth and iris coming up in the garden. Spring can't get here soon enough!
My cards always start the same.. with images arranged on a piece of clear plastic the size of my card base. I started with the Leaf Flourish Heart cut from white card stock. I topped it with flowers and a butterfly from the Fern and Daisy Pop Up Easel.
The new easel die sets include lots of smaller dies perfect for embellishing. I love that you can get more out of the die set by using the individual images in a different way. I added more greenery from the Woven Basket Pop Up Easel - like the berry sprigs and larger leaves.
I added a simple sentiment with the Hello Poe Script die cut. If you're looking for some new word sentiments you need to check out the store! You're in for a treat!
Now for the background. Because everything is arranged on a clear plastic sheet I can easily pick it up and slip different colors of card stock underneath. I decided on a color block of three shades - yellow, mango and orange. Gem centers for the florals is the finishing touch.
I hope the sun is shining wherever you are. And if it's not.. remember you can always make your own!

Hi Jeanne, This is a great technique with setting out the die-cuts on a plastic sheet then using it to see which background colourways to use. This is a beautiful and happy card.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
