Easter Basket Slimline Card
by Marybeth Lopez
Hello , hope you are all having some fun crafty time. Marybeth Lopez here today for Poppystamps with a slimline card using a few more dies than I normally do. Trying not to make it too busy for me, only used two colors , three if you count the neutral basket .
The basket is two layers so I could have a smooth underside and tuck in some of the grass and bunnies. I lightly added some glitter to the basket ( mostly because I got a glue smudge on it) Below you can see the color pads I used for the basket and the grass. I staggered three layers of the grass, then gave the grass a bit of a trim to shorten the blades of grass. I ink blended the white embossed panel with a light pink , using oxide inks and blending brushes.
I used memory box colors, Earth Neutral and Lush Green, both linked below. I so love having all the colors of the beautiful new paper pads.
Long time ago I needed the long plates ( big shot) for a die I had (never needed again until now) and boy or boy am I glad I kept them and or have them. You don't have to have them for slimline cards but it its nice.
I used the die : Leafy Vines Slim Plate to Emboss not cut , all you need to do is use the sandwich for embossing so that it won't cut. The black is a thin embossing pad. I then adhered the : Slim Leafy die to the pink panel.
I really like the way this turned out even with my little mistake because I always love some added glitter.
I hope I have inspired you to have some crafty time and maybe even to do some shopping at the Poppystamps store , so many new spring stamps and dies.
We've been blessed with some beautiful sunny weather and now we will be getting some much needed rain.
Hope you have a wonderful week. God bless you all.

so cute, like the tall grass with them and the finish touch of the bow!
