Appliqué With Craft Dies and a Birthday Card
by Marybeth Lopez
Hello and happy March to you all! Marybeth Lopez here today , sharing a birthday card and an appliqué pot holder/ mug rug ,using Poppystamps craft die.
I often use a few I my craft dies on quilting projects , so I thought I would share a few with you today using the amazing Poppystamps die called Woven Basket Pop Up Easel Set.
You can lose some of the detail when cutting material, ( but main shape still very nice) most of the larger dies cut cloth very nicely . I just used my machine stitch to appliqué onto the material then went ahead and layered my small project.
As you can see above, the detail in this die is amazing. Nine craft dies included in the set .
I also used the Farm Fresh Eggs die on one of the mug rugs/ hot pad. A mug rug is just something to set your coffee mug on while holding on your lap.
For the birthday card , I used the new Poppystamps, spring line dies called Double Diamond Lattice Plate ( cuts like butter) . First cut turned out perfectly.
I used one layer of the memory box Spring Plaid patterned paper and adhered it to my base .
I used one of the many new paper packs( so many beautiful colors) from memory box for the sentiment on my card. I layered my Happy Birthday sentiment twice then adhered to my front Lattice panel.
So many beautiful new Spring products at Poppystamps , happy shopping . God bless you all.
