Greetings my Poppy friends! I have a card to share with you today featuring a few of the new items in the shops.
Have you ever tried the Open Studio embossing folders? Talk about dimension... They're extra deep allowing you to play with texture and color. The card I made is really very simple. I ran my folder through my machine (be very careful, allowing for the extra thick folder, adjustments may be necessary), and used sponge daubers and oxide inks to apply color to the lifted flowers and leaves. I used a lighter hand, blending colors, and trying not to go out of the lifted image.
I used the Simple Leaf Heart Split Border from last year, also colored with my oxide inks, and lifted the panel with foam.
The heart window frames a few of blooms.
Like I said, the dimension on these or any of the embossing folders is amazing!
Hope you're inspired to try your favorite technique with them.
Spectacular colouring of these florals, they've been brought to life! I've done this once before and wanted to be really precise so I used a Q-tip and it took forever. Thank you for sharing this lovely inspiration!
