Hi there crafty friends, hope you are all having a good week. Valentine's Day is quickly approaching. Have you started on your Valentine's Day cards? If  not, today's project share may be the perfect inspiration to get you in the craft room to make a card or two.

To create this card, I began with creating my background image. I stenciled red hearts onto a piece of 5 x 7 inch white cardstock with the Memory Box Drifting Hearts Stencil and some Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink.

Next I cut the stenciled background with the Double Stitch Rectangle Frames die. Then adhered both the frame and the inside piece to a 4.25 x 5.5 top folding black note card with some liquid adhesive.

Then I die cut the Big Hedgehog Left and Big Hedgehog Right images from both a kraft and dark chocolate colored cardstock. I removed the hedgehog's main from the kraft die cut piece by fussy cutting the image with my paper snips. Then adhered the fussy cut kraft image onto the dark chocolate image with some liquid adhesive.

Next I die cut a large heart image from some vellum cardstock, then adhered the heart and both paper pieced hedgehogs onto the stenciled heart background with some foam tape. Lastly I stamped and heat embossed the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock with some white embossing powder. I then attached the sentiment strip to card with some foam tape.

And there you have it, your card is done! I hope you enjoyed today's project share and found inspiration to make your own Valentine's Day cards. Until next time, happy crafting!

Hi Candice, So cute, these hedgehogs look so cute, and combined with the 'heart' background produce the most beautiful Valentine card.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
