Welcome Christmas
by Nancy Penir
Christmas Greetings, all! Hoping you're enjoying the holiday season, even with all that's plagued us this past year. I have a card to share that hopefully brings some cheer along with inspiration, using some dies that can be used any time or season.
The Townhouses trio is a fun set of 3 townhomes with separate roofs, allowing you to change up the colors. My card today uses them on a shaker.
After I folded my 4 1/4 x 11" cardstock I positioned my square frame where I wanted the shaker to be. Then drew within the square window.
I kept the pencil mark faint, but you can see where it's drawn (if you look carefully). Then I used post it notes to create a barrier for sponging.
The sponging was done rather randomly, slightly heavier on top, sort of like a snowy flurry.
Here's a closeup of the townhomes. I decided to add 'snow' to the rooftops (embossing) and doubled the homes so the windows would have a bit of contrast.
Snowflake sequins are the sweetest shaker elements, don't you think?
Despite a year of chaos and turmoil, it's still the most wonderful time of year. And my prayer is that you find peace and joy in the beauty of the holidays. Blessings!

Nancy, your card is beautiful and cheery! Almost springlike with the colors! Happy Chistmas to you, too, as we reflect on its true meaning in a quieter way than usual!
Hi Nancy, This is such a pretty card, I love your sponged night sky and the starry shakers are beautiful, and the townhouses are stunning, this whole 'scene' is stunning.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
The cool palette on this card is gorgeous, thank you for sharing. Merry Christmas to you!
