Christmas Card & Envelope
by Nancy Penir
December 2020, and Christmas is around the corner. Are your cards in the mail? I have a simple card and matching envelope for you today, in case you are short a few. Our sister company, Memory Box has some gorgeous Christmas paper pads that pack a wow.
My card features the new Simple Lantern Oval die set. The holiday plaid paper pack is a double sided print with gold on one side. Just gorgeous! I used my gold mirror paper to cut the oval lantern, and backed it with white. Then sponge inked where the lantern would shine. The Holiday Mistletoe was also cut from white cardstock and copic colored. Added a bit of glitz to it with some chunky glitter. And I also want to show you it's envelope and an easy way to use Poppy's stencils to decorate them.
I love personalizing my envelopes, and it's really easy to do with a stencil. You'll notice I angled the stencil to allow room for addressing. First applied red, a bit darker in the center, fanning outward to the petals.
Next the green, where I wanted the leaves.
I'll write on top of part of the image, as I kept it light along the edge of the design.
There are lots of great stencils in the store, and here's hoping you already have a few in your stash!
Have a wonderful crafty weekend.

Hi Nancy, I love it !! The tartan papers are gorgeous, the die-cuts are gorgeous, and you have stenciled the envelopes so prettily, a beautiful 'finishing touch'.
