Christmas Snowglobe
by Nancy Penir
Greetings Poppy Peeps! There's a crispness in the air, signalling my favorite time of year... Christmas! Sending and receiving holiday cards are a tradition I cherish. today I'm sharing a card I made with several Poppystyamps dies and their new holiday paperback.
All products will be listed at the bottom of this post. One extra special new one, is the designer paper with the gold thread used as the base for my card.
I chose to use several shimmer card stocks for the snowglobe and house. Just that extra sheen is so festive! The snowglobe includes the snowy layers, perfect for tucking in the main elements.
The snowy sky is the reverse of one of the designer papers in the pack. Really, the only stamping was the embossed sentiment on the base of the snowglobe. Everything else is die cut!
Look closely to see I did cut a darker color for each of the white snowflakes, so they'd stand out against the plaid. The trees too. You might notice too, I die cut the ring of the snowglobe 3 times and glued them together for dimension. The base is built up with foam.
I hope you found some inspiration today. Christmas scenes are so much fun to create, especially with all the darling dies Poppy has for the holidays. Hope your week is extra crafty!
