Christmas at Home
by Michele K. Henderson
This year, spending Christmas at home has a whole new meaning. For far too many of us, not being able to travel long distances this year means many folks will be spending the holidays alone, or with a ZOOM call after dinner. I would love to encourage you all to think about your friends and neighbors who might be all alone for the holidays, and how you might brighten their day. This sweet little cardinal knows that Santa will find him wherever he goes, so he's hanging up his Christmas stocking. He knows Santa will bring him something sweet.
I made this card with the new Bird House Pop Up Easel Set! This set is so adorable, and so easy to use, it is no surprise that all of here at Poppystamps want to try it out! The best part is, you can find so many ideas and inspiration for this versatile card.
I started out by cutting out all the pieces I'lll need to assemble the Bird House Pop Up Easel Set. You can make this card as a stand-up easel, or just use the birdhouse on a flat card. I did my house in white, with grey trim and a little snow on the roof. I cut the Berry Branch in green leaves with white berries.
I cut the Whittle Stocking in red and white. Our little cardinal was right! Santa filled his stocking with a sweet surprise! The tiny candy canes and bow were added with a tiny sticker from a holiday sticker set.
I am going to leave this card in my neighbor's door. Then I'll make some more!
Thanks so much for joining us today!
