Bird House Card
by Candice Crawford
Hi there crafty friends, Candice here. I am back on the blog today to share with you another festive card design. Today I am using the Bird House Pop Up Easel Set. This 10 piece die set makes the cutest bird house that can be used all year long. This die set can create a standalone pop-up easel card or you can use the dies to create a simple focal point image for a card front.
I chose to make a standalone bird house focal image for today's card. I used a couple shades of brown and cream card stock from my stash to create the base and roof of the bird house. I also used a woodgrain embossing folder to create the faux wood design on the birdhouse for extra demension.
There is only one bird die in the set. However, the die can be flipped to create two birds facing in opposite directions. The details on the neck and beak of the birds are colored in with my Copic markers
The snow accents were made from a Snow Marker and quickly dried with a heat gun to create the added snow dimension.
The sentiment "Tis the Season" was stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed with fine detailed white embossing powder. The greenery on the card uses two shades of green card stock for added interest. I think this card is absolutely stunning. There is so much detail and tons of layers and dimension. Although there were several steps for making this card, I do think it is a great option for mass producing for this year's Christmas cards to family and friends.
Thank you all for stopping by today. I hope you have enjoyed this card share and found inspiration. Until next time, happy crafting.
