Holly Background
by Jeanne Jachna
Hi friends! Thanks for stopping by! Today I'm sharing a Christmas card made with dies from the new release.
I love bold colors and clean graphic designs and this card contains both. I started out with a white card base topped with a slightly smaller panel of aqua card stock.
Next I cut the Holly Background die from white card stock and adhered it to the assembled panel. I cut the panel a few more times from shades of green, red and pink card stock and inlaid all the pieces. The die cut pieces all fit together and the end result is smooth and flat.
When I originally tried to add the Snowy Merry Christmas sentiment it was difficult to read over the busy background. To help bring out the sentiment I add a second die cut from gold glitter card stock, and a strip of vellum to soften and blur the background.
I'm happy with this clean inlay card with just the right amount of sparkle and shine.

Love those pretty bold colors and fabulous design!!
Hi Jeanne, I love it !! Your colours are beautiful, and you must have lots of patience paper-piecing all those inlays, but it certainly pays off, it looks gorgeous. I adore your technique with the vellum and the 'dropped shadow' for the sentiment, so effective.
Take care, stay safe, stay well.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
So fun and festive!
