Stone Garden Planter by Jennifer Svare

Hello!  Did you know that July is World Watercoloring Month? I thought it would be fun to play with watercolors and watercolor pencils to create a stone planter look with the Whittle Cutie Rabbit die.  It's also a fun way to use many different animal dies!

For the base of the card front, I used the Circle Fold Frame die cut in a light gray cardstock, along with the matching Lattice cut out of white, and the Adriana curve cut out of a smooth watercolor paper. The beautiful Floral Cluster was used as the base of the flower pot.  Lots of matching floral and greenery fillers were also die cut using smooth watercolor paper (the exact dies used are listed below).

The inside of the card had a white-on-white look with the Floral Cluster glued to the top.  I just love embellishing the interiors as well as exteriors.  The sentiment was stamped and embossed in silver, and the font from Peony Garden Corner was perfect for the simple-yet-elegant look I was going for.

Check out the video I've made to show you how I used the watercolor pencils!  So easy to create lots of rich texture in colors.  I'll also show how to tone down the colors for an easy matted pastel look.  Have a great day!
