July Challenge Reminder
by Candice Crawford
Candice here reminding you there is still time to play along with the Design Team and I for this month's challenge. For the month of July we are creating projects that are themed Glim and Glam. For a bit of inspiration to get you started crafting, I am sharing with you a clean and simple card I created that glitters and shimmers.
For my card I am using the new Flora Blooms die for the floral focal point on the card along with the Greeting Basics stamp set for my sentiment. To get started you will need to die cut both the large and small flower petals from 3 sheets of pastel glitter card stock. I am using the pastel glitter paper from Memory Box.
Next you will need to die cut the background panel for the card using the Double Stitch Rectangle Frames die and a sheet of blue patterned paper from the Memory Box Springtime Bouquet 6x6 paper pad.
To assemble your card, you will layer the background frame and center cut piece onto your A2 card base using some liquid adhesive. Then you will add your floral petals to the card, arranging them so that some florals are layered on top of one another and popped up with foam tape.
Lastly, you can stamp the "Thank You" sentiment from the Greeting Basics stamp set and die cut the image with the coordinating labels die from the Colwell Label die set. Adhere your sentiment to your card with some 3M foam tape.
Your card is done. I hope your found inspiration from today's project and will join in on the Blog challenge fun.
Want to play?
The rules are simple - just create a project following the theme, use at least one Poppystamps image or die, and link it up here. The design we love best will receive our winner badge to proudly display on their blog, and one lucky random winner will receive a prize. You don't have to have a blog to play. You can link to any online gallery. In fairness to other players, we reserve the right to remove entries that do not use at least one Poppystamps image. We ask that you link a maximum of 3 entries to each challenge. You are welcome to link your design to other challenges. Grab our badge to post on your blog post or sidebar!
