Butterfly Easel Card
by Sue McRae
Welcome crafters to another Poppystamps post with Sue! I hope your summer has been going splendidly! We are having a heat wave in my neck of the woods and am grateful to have air conditioning!
Today I have an easel card for you using the Adriana Pop Up Easel Set. The easel card is really easy to put together and if you need some guidance Dave made a video showing you the steps to create an easel card. Watch the video here.
I die cut the base of the card from plum card stock. I then took the pretty butterfly patterned paper from the Springtime Bouquet Pad and adhered it to white cardstock to make it sturdier, as this will be the card front.
I die cut the butterfly panel with the Butterfly Symphony die and ran the die through my die cut machine once more with glitter cardstock so I could adhere the sparkly butterflies over the patterned butterflies on the panel. I really love all the layers of butterflies on this piece!
For the inside of the card I die cut a piece of pink cardstock.
For the sentiment I used the smallest Double Stitch Scalloped Rectangle Frame and die cut it from patterned paper and twice from white cardstock and adhered them together to make a thicker frame.
I stamped the sentiment with black ink and added it to the inside of the frame.
My final step was to add some iridescent sequins among the butterflies for a little sparkle and shine.
In the end I only used 2 of the 6 dies included in the Adriana Pop Up Easel Set so that you could see how to make this easel card using other Poppystamps products, not just the ones that come in the set.
This really is a versatile die that is great for many occasions all year long! I hope you include it in your crafty stash!
Thanks for stopping by today!

What a lovely design, Sue - that pretty paper makes a great starting point to build upon!
Hi Sue, A really beautiful card, I adore the background paper and how pretty is the butterfly symphony, showcased here on the adriana easel card die set.
Stay safe, stay well.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
