Wood, Denim, & Paper by Jennifer Svare

Simple Card Full

Hello!  Today I've made a simple card design using a floral die cut with a heat embossed stamp.  This card design is very simple to make, and is great for any occasion! Because this card is so simple to make, I found myself experimenting with different materials.  So much fun!

Blue Card1

I've created a video to show the process and experimentation with the different materials used, so be sure to check that out below for more details on how the card was put together, but I used the wonderful Flora Bloom Solids nested die set, along with the matching Flora Blooms.

For the stamped image, I used the Peony Garden Corner clear stamp set.  The images are beautiful so many different ways and the sentiments have such a nice variety and really neat font.  Perfect for grab and go cards like this that work with any occasion.

Blue Jeans

I have an old pair of jeans that I've been die cutting lately, and so I knew the dies would cut beautifully with the denim; however, I was excited to see what the stamping and heat embossing would look like.  It has a worn look to it, which I think is perfect for a blue jeans card!

The wood is a wood paper, so I knew this would die cut beautifully.  I love the look of this one, too!  I can't decide which is my favorite... which one do you like best?  I'd love to hear from you in the comments below, and thank you so much for stopping by today!  Check out the video tutorial below for more information!

cards, Jennifer! I love all three but the denim one is my fave.
Love the worn look of the denim!

Lovely design, thanks for sharing the technique video. I've never seen denim used in card making before.

Oooh, these look fabulous. A beautiful striking design and the different materials really add to the fun factor. Hugz
