Peony Bouquet
By Jeanne Jachna

Dahlia-Three

Hi friends!  I hope you're having a great day!  I'm noticing that the peonies in the garden are starting to get buds,  and can't wait to see them bloom!  That inspired me to pull out the Peony stamp set from Poppystamps.  I'm enjoying the warmer weather and watching the garden come to life.  There are new birds arriving at the feeders too!  My little backyard paradise is my quiet place that brings me peace of mind.

I colored the Peony Bouquet with Copic Markers, but any media will do.  I don't think you need to be an expert at color blending to enjoy these clean line designs.  I color the petals in different shades of ink - no blending.  I used Copic R21, R22, R25, R27 and R29.  Copics are a good choice for me because I use them EVERY day.  I love that I can refill them when they run dry instead of purchasing a whole pack of markers.

There is no matching die for this stamp set so I fussy cut the images before layering it on a Pierced Oval die cut.   The stamp set has several sentiments to choose from - I decided on a thank you because there are so many things I feel grateful for lately.

The pretty background papers are from Memory Box!  They've been adding lots of pretty print papers and coordinating solid and dot mixed pads to their product offering.   A few enamel dots add a bit of color and shine - a little candy for the eyes.

I hope you find some simple pleasures to make you happy - whether it's a blooming spring flower or spotting a rabbit in the grass - or just the sun shining on your face!  Love and hugs to you!

Hi Jeanne, Such a pretty springlike card, lovely patterns and prints mats and layers and your peony stamping and colouring is beautiful, it lifts the heart.
I have two tree peony plants, and have had them a number of years now, and I have had one flower on each for the past two years, each year I'm hoping for more flowers as peonies are such pretty flowers.
Stay safe, stay well.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
