Long time, no see

Hello everyone! Hope you are all well. Today I wanted to play with a few pun sentiments and a rainbow.

I die cut the giraffe 5 times from white cardstock, and cut 5 strips of patterned paper.

I adhered the strips to my A2 sized card base and colored the 5 giraffes with Copics in darker, coordinating colors.

From the same patterned paper I then cut 5 labels to fit my sentiements.

I used the same darkest marker to color the edge of the labels to make them stand out. For this label I even snipped the stamp in 2. I find it easier than to mask the stamp. That way I always end up with ink in wrong places. And I can easily place them together if I want to stamp them as intended later.

I then adhered the giraffes and popped up the labels. And then I thought it was kind of missing something, yet I didn't want to add more dimension or glitter. I know, weird right? Corona isolation must have gotten the better of me, LOL. Anyway, I added a fine black line all around the base, repeating 3 times. I also added a few "stars". I guess I had to have some "sparkle", after all.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a great crafty day!

What a fun card! And the ‘snarky’ quips add to the fun! I do like a variety of cards and this idea helps add variety! Thank you for the inspiration!

Hi Tina, Love it, love it, love it !! The Whittle giraffe is so cute, and the polka dot paper strips look so effective, and complimented by the labels and sentiments, a really beautiful card.
Stay safe, stay well.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Cute card. Perfect card to send to anyone during this trying time. Thanks for the inspiration.
