Wild Rose
by Marybeth Lopez

Hello and good day to you. I hope you are all doing ok and taking some time to enjoy this craft we all love. I find even when I don't feel much like crafting, if just get in the craft room (or wherever you create) I start to play with my stamps and dies , before you know it I feel better.

I used this Bold Striped Stencil along with my blender brushes to create as soft background for my floral birthday card. I love any stripes pared with blooms.

I heat embossed the Wild Rose Stem with white embossing powder for a softer look then I watercolored my image. You will see below that I ended up cutting the leaves and tucked them in the corners of the card.

I used regular cardstock this time, I added some water to each petal then little bit of paint and let the water move most of it. I didn't worry about it being perfect, just added color.

When laying out my flower on the front panel, I decided to cut apart the leaves so that I could place them in the corners of the card. Simply sniped and glued.

After completing the card I stamped the sentiment from Poppystamps Peony Bouquet. There are many beautiful sentiment from the Wild Rose stamp set but I needed one I could tuck in the center left of the blooms.

I hope you get to spend some happy time crafting, stay safe sweet crafty friends.

Your card is stunning, Marybeth. I love the colors, heat embossing and stenciling. So pretty. Be well. Enjoy your day!

So pretty and you're right, crafting makes me feel better, too. Sometimes it's just hard to get started!

Love the beautiful pink on the rose.

Hi Marybeth, This is such a pretty card, I love all the techniques and all the die-cuts you have used.
Stay safe, stay well.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

The colors are fantastic and putting the stenciled stripes behind the irregularly shaped flowers is great design. Stay safe and well, friends.

Gorgeous, Marybeth, I love the stencils stripes under the flowers!
