Challenge Reminder - Puddle Jumping
by Jeanne Jachna

Brighter-Days-Two

Hi friends!  I hope you're taking advantage of the "shelter in place" and enjoying time with family.   Now more than ever we need to make each other smile!  I'm crafting as a sweet escape.. dreaming of a change of scenery and relieving some of the stress.

I hope you find some time to play our monthly challenge.  This month's theme is Puddle Jumping.. we want you to dance in the rain and find the rainbow at the end of the storm.. maybe it's some spring flowers.. or a look ahead at better days.  You can also break out the watercolors and make some puddles of your own!

Brighter-Days-One

I made a fun scene!  I get a kick out of seeing the birds turn the smallest puddle into an excuse for a quick bath or playtime!
Brighter-Days-Four
My card starts with a color block panel of ombre blue shades of card stock.  I cut strips 1 1/4" wide and adhered them on their reverse side.  Next I die cut the assembled panel with the Raining Frame die.   I die cut the Stitched Cloudline from white card stock and adhered it to the top of the card with adhesive foam tape to add some dimension.   I stamped a sentiment directly on the clouds.. its from the Birch Press Design Blooming Spring Stamp Set.

Brighter-Days-Three
Little flowers fall from the rain clouds as the ducks make the most of it.   Some sparkling clear sequins add to the "rain" for a wet look.    I added some highlights to the duck wings with markers and some jewels to the flower centers.
Brighter-Days
Wishing brighter days for us all.. in the mean time.. be safe and find your own way to relax!

Hi Jeanne, I love it !! I adore the 'raining frame' it is so effective, I adore the Whittle ducks and the cloudline completes this card beautifully. The 'scene' is gorgeous, and the sentiment is 'so apt'. I love it !!
Stay safe, stay well.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
