Hi there crafters, Candice here, sharing another project collaboration with Poppystamps and Rinea. Rinea makes beautiful foils in a wide range of colors and textures. These foils are unlike typical foil, as this foil maintains its shape anyway you curl, fold or die cut it. The foil sheets are double sided, often with the reverse side containing a traditional gold color. Click here to check out their line of products.
For today's project, I created a card using the new Butterfly Symphony die and the Princess Variety Pack of Rinea foils. I die cut the Butterfly Symphony die several times, 5 in total from the following mediums:
- A piece of butterfly pattern paper from the Memonry Box Springtime Bouquet 6X6 paper pad.
- A piece of scrap white card stock
- A piece of Silver, Blush and Lavender Rinea foil
I then die cut the double stitch scalloped rectangle frame from a piece of white card stock.
Next I placed the die cut butterflies from the patterned paper back into place like puzzle pieces.
I then carefully cut the ribbon design from the Butterfly Symphony die from the white card stock with my scissors; then paper pieced the ribbon onto the butterfly patterned paper.
Next I added the silver foiled butterflies to the design with some foam tape. Then, I adhered the smaller blush and lavender foiled butterflies on top of the silver butterflies with some liquid glue. Once the glue dried, I shaped a few of the butterfly wings for some added dimension.
I then die cut the double stitch scalloped rectangle frame from a piece of white card stock and added to the card with some foam tape.
Lastly I stamped the sentiment "your kindness means so much," from the new Greeting Basics stamp set in black ink onto a strip of white card stock that I trimmed to make as a banner.
I really enjoyed playing with the Rinea foils. I think you will too. Thank you all for joining me today. Continue to stay sheltered and stay safe!
