Blog Blitz Thank You Card
by Dana Kirby

SavingPNG-9

Hello Friends! It is Dana here today with a Thank You card to share with you all.  We are continuing with our Blog Blitz today, so remember to leave a comment down below. Today you will have the chance to win the Colwell Label Set. This is such a great set of labels and a basic die set that you will want to add to your collection! Let's get started, shall we?

I started my card by spraying the back of the Chrysanthemum Stencil with Pixie Spray (from Therm O Web) to hold the stencil in place. Then I used purple tape and masked off the leaves on the stencil. This step took a little extra time but it was definitely worth it in my opinion. Once I started adding my ink I did not have to worry about the leaves, because I knew they were covered or masked off.

I added Distress Oxide Ink in Mustard Seed and Carved Pumpkin to the Chrysanthemum. Once I was finished I removed the purple tape.

I then lined the stencil back up over the Chrysanthemum and masked off the flowers.

I added Distress Oxide Ink in Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn to the leaves. I once again removed the stencil and the purple tape. Once my card panel was finished I lightly spritzed it with water and set it aside to dry for a few minutes.

Next, I trimmed my card panel down a bit to A2 card size. I then used a die from the Colwell Label Set and die cut a label from the bottom left corner of my panel. I stamped my sentiment from the You Are Wonderful Stamp Set directly onto the label.

I then mounted my stenciled card panel onto my A2 card base. I added a little foam adhesive to my label and inlaid it back into the opening on my card panel.

To finish my card, I die cut a green frame with the Pointed Rectangle Frame Die. I then added the frame to my card front. I love the way the frame finishes the edges on my card and ties everything together. Lastly, I added a few Lemon Drop Jewels to my card front as a finishing touch.

Over the weekend I had some time, so I decided to use the Romantic Blooms Stencil and make a "bonus" card to share with you all. This time I just placed the stencil directly onto my card panel and ink blended Distress Oxide Ink with a rainbow of colors. I actually didn't even add ink to my sponges, I just used the leftover ink that had accumulated. Super quick and easy!

Thanks for joining me today. I hope I inspired you to give the new stencils a try...I promise you won't be disappointed!
