Blog Blitz Giveaway
by Sue McRae

IMG_1212c

Welcome to another day of our spring Blog Blitz! There's been lots of inspirational projects using the fabulous new products from Poppystamps!

Today I have a simple shaker card using the new Berry Square Frame.

I started by creating a panel using alcohol inks in blues and aquas on Yupo paper. I cut a piece from this panel to be the background of my shaker square.

IMG_1163c

The Berry Square Frame was cut from white card stock and also cut from my white card front because I'm making an inlaid shaker. The frame will sit in the square die cut.

IMG_1219c

I took the Garden Leaves and Berries and die cut the berries a bunch of times from the same white card stock and adhered them to the front panel. Then I assembled the shaker part and attached the panel to a white card base.

IMG_1222c

For the sentiment I die cut the Doodle Happy Birthday 4 times from black card stock to give it height so it can pop from the textured background.

IMG_1207c

If you would like a chance to win the Berry Square Frame please leave a comment on this post.

Spring blog blitz Easel pop up card
by Tina Wilstrup

Watermark1.584986460623E12

Hello everyone! Our spring blog blitz is in full swing and today I'm featuring the amazing Adriana pop up easel set. It's easy to use and very impactful! Although it looks like Easter has been cancelled here in Denmark due to the Corona virus, that won't stop me from sending out Easter cards. IMG_20200324_095953

I die cut all the pieces I needed from purple glitter and patterned paper.
IMG_20200324_095953

I folded the base along the creases from the die and added both double sided tape and liquid glue for a stronger hold. Since the patterned paper wouldn't be strong enough to stand I die cut the same piece from heavy weight white cardstock and adhered the patterned paper on top before placing it on top of the base. Watermark1.584986407317E12

The oval, leafy base I die cut from dark purple glitter paper and popped it up for dimension. The Wishful bunny is cut from pastel purple glitter paper and also popped up.
Watermark1.584986407317E12

I used some Fairy sugar for eye and nose, some ribbon for a bow and a tiny felt ball for a plushy tail.
Watermark1.584986407317E12

I die cut the medium sized tag from dark purple glitter paper and the same dotted patterned paper as the base. I stamped a sentiment and fuzzy cut around the edge of the patterned paper and glued it on top of the glitter tag.
Watermark1.584986460623E12

I held up the base at an angle to make sure I possitioned the tag in the correct spot on the inside.
Watermark1.584986460623E12

And here's the finished card. Full of glitter and cuteness. But remember, there's so many ways to use this die set, all together or individually. And here you have a chance to win the Adriana pop up easel die set. So set your creativity free, follow the instructions below, and be safe!

Spring Blog Blitz - Grand Watering Can
by Candice Crawford

Poppy Stamps Blog Post 3.27.20
Hello Everyone,

Candice here showcasing another card sample and a chance to win an amazing die set from our Spring Blog Blitz. Today's giveaway features the new Grand Watering Can die from our Spring release. This die is great for spring themed cards and surely a die set you will want to add to your collection.

Poppystamps Blog Poat 3.27.20.2

To get started, you will need to die cut the Grand Watering Can from a piece of patterned paper. I am using a sheet of 6x6 purple plaid paper from the new Memory Box Springtime Bouquet paper pad. Next, die cut one set of leaves and 2 sets of flower petals from the new Floral Clusters die set. I used card stock scraps from my stash in green to create the leaves and yellow and pink card stock for the flowers.

Now adhere the flower petals onto the leaves with some liquid adhesive. Add a dab of  glitter glue to the flower centers for some added sparkle and shine. I used the new Memory Box glitter glue in Berry Mist and Lemon Drop.

Poppystamps Blog Post 3.27.20.3

Next I adhered the flowers and leaves to the top of my watering can with some liquid adhesive. Check out all the detail and dimension from these flowers. Aren't these flowers adorable?

The background for my card was created from a piece of 6x6 striped patterned paper from the Memory Box Springtime Bouquet paper collection using my favorite double stitch rectangle frame die set. After cutting the frame, I then adhered the frame and the coordinating center piece back together on to my A2 size card base using some liquid adhesive.

Poppystamps Blig Post 3.27.20.4

Next I created a yellow and white scalloped layer for my watering can and flowers. To create this layer, I die cut the scallop frame from a piece of yellow card stock using the Double Stitch Scallop Rectangle Frame Die. Then I adhered the frame to a 4.25 x 2.75 piece of white card stock with some liquid adhesive. Next I added the Watering Can to the center of the two-toned scallop frame with some foam adhesive. I then adhere the scallop frame with the watering can to my patterned striped card based with some additional foam adhesive.

Poppystamps Blog Post 3.27.20.5

To finish off the card, I die cut one of the labels from the new Colwell Label set from a piece of white card stock. Next, I stamped the sentiment Best Wishes from the new Greetings Basics stamp set with some Versafine Onyx Black ink. Then I adhered the sentiment label to the center of the watering can with some foam adhesive.

This card is truly adorable and I had so much fun creating it.  If you would like a chance to win the New Grand Watering Can die, simply play along with our Spring Release Blog Blitz.

Blog Blitz Spring Giveaway
by Nancy Penir

DSC_0027 2

Hello, my Poppy friends! How are you all doing? Staying well and safe I pray! Nancy here, and bringing some joy your way with our Spring Blog Blitz and giveaway! I'm showcasing a new die called, Adriana Tall Curved Border. Let's take a look...

DSC_0024

This lovely border die is as long as your A2 card, and can be used as an edge, but I'm going to show you something a bit different. I die cut it twice, and turned the pieces toward each other. You'll notice I cut the bottom leaves off the two die cuts. Read on to see why.

DSC_0014_wm

I gave my card the look of an arbor above a fence. Keeping with the spring theme, I kept the colors soft and pastel. And the bottom leaves just reach the bottom of the fence. The sentiment in the center is smoky blue rather than black, adding to the softness.

DSC_0025

The leaves are first wet with my paintbrush before adding color. I love how deeply impressed the leaves are, allowing the color to puddle a bit in the crevices.

DSC_0042_wm

Detailing my card with a few more sprigs, some twine and some of the new glitter glue, and my cheery spring card is ready to send!

Now for the fun part... comment to win!

Blog Blitz Thank You Card
by Dana Kirby

SavingPNG-9

Hello Friends! It is Dana here today with a Thank You card to share with you all.  We are continuing with our Blog Blitz today, so remember to leave a comment down below. Today you will have the chance to win the Colwell Label Set. This is such a great set of labels and a basic die set that you will want to add to your collection! Let's get started, shall we?

I started my card by spraying the back of the Chrysanthemum Stencil with Pixie Spray (from Therm O Web) to hold the stencil in place. Then I used purple tape and masked off the leaves on the stencil. This step took a little extra time but it was definitely worth it in my opinion. Once I started adding my ink I did not have to worry about the leaves, because I knew they were covered or masked off.

SavingPNG-6

I added Distress Oxide Ink in Mustard Seed and Carved Pumpkin to the Chrysanthemum. Once I was finished I removed the purple tape.

SavingPNG-7

I then lined the stencil back up over the Chrysanthemum and masked off the flowers.

SavingPNG-5

I added Distress Oxide Ink in Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn to the leaves. I once again removed the stencil and the purple tape. Once my card panel was finished I lightly spritzed it with water and set it aside to dry for a few minutes.

SavingPNG-4

Next, I trimmed my card panel down a bit to A2 card size. I then used a die from the Colwell Label Set and die cut a label from the bottom left corner of my panel. I stamped my sentiment from the You Are Wonderful Stamp Set directly onto the label.

SavingPNG-10

I then mounted my stenciled card panel onto my A2 card base. I added a little foam adhesive to my label and inlaid it back into the opening on my card panel.

SavingPNG-11

To finish my card, I die cut a green frame with the Pointed Rectangle Frame Die. I then added the frame to my card front. I love the way the frame finishes the edges on my card and ties everything together. Lastly, I added a few Lemon Drop Jewels to my card front as a finishing touch.

SavingPNG-8

Over the weekend I had some time, so I decided to use the Romantic Blooms Stencil and make a "bonus" card to share with you all. This time I just placed the stencil directly onto my card panel and ink blended Distress Oxide Ink with a rainbow of colors. I actually didn't even add ink to my sponges, I just used the leftover ink that had accumulated. Super quick and easy!

SavingPNG-5

Thanks for joining me today. I hope I inspired you to give the new stencils a try...I promise you won't be disappointed!

Spring Blog Blitz - Adriana Wreath
by Michele K. Henderson

IMG_6777-wm

Hello and Welcome All to our Spring Blog Blitz! We have got some fresh new products and beautiful designs from our talented design team all month long to help us chase away those winter blues! Today I am sharing my pretty spring wreath created with the brand new Adriana Wreath. Take a look!

IMG_6774-wm

The Adriana Wreath is an intricate one-piece die that packs a powerful punch! I started out by cutting the Wreath in a pretty lime green, then adhering it to my crisp white card base.

IMG_6754-wm

Then I selected my favorite spring pastel palette, and cut out a random pile of leaves, berries, and tiny blooms from the Garden Leaves and Berries, the Orchard Leaves, and the Floral Cluster die sets. I arranged them around my Wreath, then stared gluing. Soon I came up with a fresh spring look I love!

IMG_6756-wm

Then came my favorite part! I pulled out my brand new Fairy Sugar Glitter Glue from Memory Box Open Studio! I squirted tiny drops in the center of my tiny pink leaves in small drops of glittery goodness! Today I used Strawberry Ice, but you will want every color in your collection!

IMG_6758-wm

I added a few sparking sequins and voila! It looks like Paris in the Spring!
