Adriana Pop Up Easel Set
by Jeanne Jachna

Hi friends!  I have something fabulous to share with you today!  There's more new releases in the store!  If you love a fussy interactive card made simple then you are going to flip for the new Adriana Pop Up Easel Set!
This one looks fussy but is SO EASY to put together!  You simply die cut the base and cover and adhere them together.

Let me give you some details and show close ups of how I embellished mine.
I alternated pink and white throughout the design.  The foliage plate comes with the set.  I cut it from white card stock.  To keep the pattern repeating in the center of the design I cut Stitched Ovals from Memory Box Open Studio in pink and white.   I topped the oval with the leafy plate cut twice from white and gold card stock, and then added a layered Delicate Poinsettia in the center.

You'll find plenty of room for a sentiment on the inside of the card.  I stamped one from the Blooming Greetings Clear Stamp set to create a special birthday card.

A scatter of tiny Stitched Fluttering Butterflies add the finishing touch to this pretty card.

So elegant right?  And it really was simple - all I added to the Adriana Pop Up Easel Set was a stamped sentiment and a focal point for the front center of the card.

Open Split Card Design With Video Tutorial
by Nadine Carlier

Open Split Card Design by Nadine Carlier ps

Hello! Nadine here today sharing an open split card design I created.

Below is a video tutorial showing how I created my card.
Make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel and click the bell so you will get updates when I post a new video.

To make my card, I used a lot of the whittle dies.  I started with the Whittle Cloud Border and the Wave Trio dies to create the base of my card.  Then for all the cute images, I used the Whittle Whale, Whittle Palm Tree, Whittle Crabs, and the Whittle Mounds. For the sentiment, I used the " You're The Coolest" stamp from the Whittle Everyday Clear Stamps.

Pawsitively adore you
by Tina Wilstrup

Hello Poppy fans! It's still February, the month of love. Today I'm sharing a quick, easy card.

I first ink blended one side of a panel to get a bold ombre effect.

I then cut a strip wide enough to back the Curvy Heart side strip and cut a white panel with the die. I also stamped my sentiment.

I backed the panel with craft foam for dimension.

On the leftover piece of the inked panel I stamped directly pad to paper with my embossing ink and covered with my absolute most favorite embossing powder. You'll see some red flecks in there but it's a dark violet with gold specks in it. So gorgeous!

I then die cut the Whittle dog. I used black Nuvo drops to give him eyes and a nose.

See? Just a few easy steps and you've got yourself a beautiful card for someone you love.
Now don't be shy to leave me a little love down below. Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of You
by Nancy Penir

Are you feeling a bit of Spring in the air? We had our first 70 degrees, and it was off with the sweater and on with flip flops! ~for the day...

Hi there! Nancy here, and I have a card that I hope will bring you some spring. If you look closely at my bg,

I used one of the new embossing folders from Memory Box. I just adore how it gives my card elegance and

allows me to 'dress up' my layers.

After running my card stock through the machine, I inked it with Distress Oxide. Heavy on the bottom, fading to light on the top. I reversed the process with my frames.

Poppystamps is now carrying watercolor card stock, which I was excited to try. Let me tell you, you're going to love the quality and paint-a-bility of this new product! It's the perfect thickness and texture. I die cut the flowers from watercolor paper and then cut a few more branches, both to paint and leave white.

The indentations of the die cut allow paint to settle in the crevices, which is just what I wanted.

A touch of embossing for the sentiment with Poppy's Valentine Fun flourish, and a bit of sparkle with another new product, Fairy Sugar, for the flower centers.

Fairy Sugar... perfect name for the new glitter glue... in so many bright happy colors! I used Lemon Meringue for the centers of my blossoms. You're going to love the dimension and sparkle it gives.

Hope you have a great week of crafting! It definitely brings out the sunshine!

You Spin Me Round
by Sue McRae

Hello crafty friends! Sue here with a Whittle critter card that can be spun around by the recipient!

I took a few of the Whittle animals and die cut them from scraps of alcohol ink card stock.

To make the circle mechanism I die cut the Concentric Rings in colours to match the animals (except for the purple) and I die cut a circle from white card stock that is slightly smaller than the purple ring.

I adhered the coloured rings onto the white circle and die cut another white circle that is smaller than the rainbow rings. I poked a hole through the centre of both.

The small white circle has to be large enough to have a brad poke through and to have 4 foam squares adhered around the edge of the circle without touching the brad. This is how the coloured rings will spin. I placed the brad through the top of the coloured circle and into the small white circle with the foam on the back side of the white circle.

Then I took the animals and adhered them to the back of the colored circle making sure they don't touch the small white circle or else it won't be able to spin.

Now I have my spinning animal wheel.

I cut a 4.5" square white card stock and scored random lines onto it. I attached this to my card base then removed the liners from the foam squares on the back of the animal circle and adhered it to the centre of the scored panel. Now the wheel can spin.

For the sentiments I white heat embossed a few from the Whittle Love stamp set and adhered them flat so they wouldn't interfere with the animals spinning.

This was a fun card to make and is not difficult to create. You would cut down on the steps if you used a solid coloured circle instead of a rainbow one.

My card is perfect to enter for the monthly challenge, Animal Menagerie, here. Don't forget to play along, you have until the end of February!

Thanks for visiting with me today and happy crafting!

Happy Hugs
by Michele K. Henderson

Hello Friends!

It'a a beautiful spring day, which means it is time to celebrate with Happy Hugs! I used soft spring colors and an inlay technique to create this pretty "hugs" card. I think it will make the perfect birthday card for someone special. Take a look!

To create this Happy Hugs card, I started out by cutting the Graceful Heart Frame in a crisp white color.

I adhered the frame onto a pale blue card base, then cut the graceful heart frame again, in a soft green and a linen white.

Once all of my leaves were cut, I then carefully inserted the green and linen white leaf pieces with a very thin-tipped adhesive and a pair of craft tweezers. A beautiful inlay technique takes a little time and patience, so don't try to create this look in a rush.

Once the leaves are in place, add the Luscious Script Hugs cut in lemon yellow and white, along with a Little Hummingbird cut in pale lilac.

A few sparkly sequins give this card the finishing touch!

Thanks so much for joining us today!

Graceful Heart
by Dana Kirby

Hi Friends! I hope you all are doing well and having a Wonderful month. I am excited to be back today sharing a thank you card with you all. If you are like me, you never have enough thank you cards, so I always try and create a few when I have a little extra time.

I started my card by creating my Alcohol Ink background. (Colors: Botanical, Sublime and Envy). I actually created two backgrounds. When I get the mess out for Alcohol Inks I usually create multiples. I did one background where I added the ink along with Blending Solution to a felt square and wiped it across my Yupo paper. I did the other one by using the same felt square but instead of wiping it across the Yupo I dabbed it onto the Yupo.

Both background would work for my card, but I decided to use the one where I wiped the color across my Yupo. Next, I used the Grace Heart Frame Die and die cut it from white cardstock. This is such a gorgeous die...

I attached my die cut frame to my Yupo paper with liquid glue. I then used the heart die cut and stamped my sentiment (from the Art Deco You Are Wonderful stamp set) directly onto the heart. I inlaid the heart back into the frame with foam adhesive.

To finish my card, I added a few clear sparkling jewels.

Thanks for joining me today and I will be back soon to share another project with you all.

With Love From Me To You
By Jeanne Jachna

Hi friends!  I hope you're having a great day and the sun is shining wherever you are!  It's been cold here in the Midwest and I'm looking forward to the weekend.  It's supposed to be warmer then, and I'm looking forward to getting out with Miss Moriko.  It's been too cold to walk, so I've been taking her for drives in the car.  We probably look crazy because I've got the heat on high, and she's hanging out the window!

I think the latest Valentine's release is too pretty for once a year and plan to use the dies all year round.  I mean.. who ever gets tired of hearing that they are loved?  Not me!

This card starts with the die cut Banded Hearts adhered to a white card stock base.   Next I cut the die with colorful card stock scraps.   All the hearts are the same size so you don't have to worry about fitting the right heart in the right opening.   I adhered the hearts in a random order.    When I was done I stacked on a second Banded Hearts die cut from white card stock to add some depth to the panel.

I just love the rainbow of color!  It's like candy for the eyes!
I wrapped gold twine around my fingers to create rings and then adhered the assembled Love Outline over the twine.   I applied adhesive foam twine  behind the Love Outline die for more dimension and drama. The sentiment is from the new Birch Press Design "You Are Awesome" stamp set.  It's got lots of sentiments that would work well with word dies.

Hugs and love to you sweet friends!

February Challenge: Animal Menagerie
by Michele K. Henderson

Hello Everyone!

Are you playing along with this month's AH-MAZING challenge, Animal Menagerie? Poppystamps has so many adorable animal dies that selecting a small handful for my Animal Menagerie project was tough! I finally decided to send a big bold Hello from my new home state, Florida! Take a look!

I created this card using some of my favorite sea creatures from our Whittle Animals designs, along with the Whittle Palm Tree, the Whittle Mounds, and a tiny Florida die I had in my stash. The Hello Outline was perfect to say, Hello from Florida, come down for a visit! Even though the Whittle Gator does not live in the sea (they are fresh water animals), they are an iconic part of all things Florida!

I started out by cutting out all the little creatures that I would use for my card, and then laid out my design.

Once I had my Animal Menagerie all figured out, I then grabbed my inks and got busy! I inked the edges of all the animals, the palm tree, the sandy mounds and the Florida with ink a little bit darker than the cardstock. There are all sorts of ways to ink up a cut image, so I just added a little bit of edging and shadows to give the animals dimension. What will You create?

Now it's YOUR turn! Create your own Animal Menagerie card, using at least ONE Poppystamps die or stamp, and add it to our Challenge Link here on our blog before the end of the month. One lucky winner will be selected to win a fabulous prize!

Thanks so much for joining us today!
