Valentine's Blog Blitz: Scribble Daisy Heart Frame by Sue McRae

What I love about this die, is that it can be used throughout the year for many occasions, not just Valentine's Day. This die would be great for a wedding, anniversary, birthday or Mother's Day. Lots of possibilities!

I started by die cutting the frame 3 times from 80lb Neenah Solar White card stock and once from blue glitter card stock. I adhered the 3 layers of white card stock together and hand cut a piece of white card stock to which  I glued the frame to give it a backing.

Next I used glitter glue in pink, yellow and orange and squeezed the colours into each petal of the flowers. When doing this I filled the petal right up to the top because as the glitter glue dries it sinks. I didn't have any glitter glue to do the background of the frame so I used the blue glitter card stock and paper pieced those in.

There's a new beautiful 3D embossing folder out with leaves, flowers and a heart. Before running the folder through my die cutting machine I sprayed the card stock (80lb Neenah Solar White) with a bit of water, this helps to soften the paper fibers so you get a deeper impression and the card stock won't crack.

I die cut the Love Heart from green glitter card stock and adhered that on top of the Daisy Frame heart. 

The sentiment was heat embossed with silver embossing powder that has little flecks of coloured powder in it. You can also really see all the detail of the embossing folder.

Everything was adhered to a white card base (110lb Neenah Solar White).

Love how pretty this is! The Stickles in the wells add a wonderful sparkle. Beautiful die and looks wonderful with the embossed background.

Sue, this is gorgeous! I love your color choices and how the Stickles worked marvelously! Like stainglass!!! The soft blue with the green glitter papers and all the different layers really are stunning all together!!
