Valentine's Day Shaker Card
by Nadine Carlier

Valentines Day Shaker Card by Nadine Carlier

Hello! Nadine here today sharing a Valentine's Day shaker card. Have you all started making your Valentine's Day cards yet?
For my card, I used the Poppystamps Grid Heart Frame cut from white cardstock and the Graceful Heart Frame cut once from white cardstock and once from pink vellum. To adhere the two Graceful Heart Frame layers together, I used my Xyron Creative Station Lite. I then adhered the two layers onto the Grid Heart Frame layer.

Instead of using acetate to make my shaker card I decided to use some pink vellum behind the Grid Heart Frame. I then added some 3D Foam Tape and for the inside of my shaker, I used the hearts that were cut out from the Grid Heart Frame and some pink seed beads.

Then I took the big heart that was cut from the Graceful Heart Frame and used one of the stamps from the Poppystamps Valentine's Fun Clear Stamp Set and stamped it with Delicata Pink Shimmer ink.

Stitched Envelope & Cloudline
by Candice Crawford

Poppy Stamps Blog Post 1.28

Hi Everyone,

Candice here poppin' in to share with you a cute Valentine's Card using the new stitched envelope die, the new stitched cloud line die and new Valentine's Fun stamp set from our January release.

January Poppystamps

This card is super cute and you guess it...quite simple to make. To create this card you will need a 4.25 inch by 5.5 inch piece of white card stock that you will color with some Tumbled Glass distress ink. Next take you Double Stitched rectangle frame die and die cut your tumbled glass colored yardstick with the frame die.

Now assemble both the frame and the center cutout to your white A2 sized cardbase. When you assemble the die cut panels to your card base, be sure to leave about a .25 inch white order around your distress ink panel.

January Poppystamps

Next, take a scrap piece of white cardstock and die cut the cloud border using the new stitched cloudline die. Then stamp the sentiment "Love is in the Air" from the new Valentine's Fun stamp set onto your cloud border die cut with some versa fine only black ink.

Now with a scrap piece of kraft cardstock, die cut the stitched envelope using the new stitched envelope die. With a scrap strip of red cardstock, die cut the stitched red hearts from the splendid stitched heart die. In place of the splendid stitched heart die, you can also use the new Petite stitched hearts die.

Poppystamps January

With all of your die cuts pieces cut out, you are now ready to assemble your card. First adhere your stitched cloud border strip to the bottom of your distress inked card front.

Next assemble your stitched envelope with your small bit of your favorite liquid or tape runner adhesive. Be sure to only secure two sides of your envelope and to leave the top portion open for your heart pieces. Once your envelope is assembled, adhere the envelope to your card front with some adhesive foam tape. My favorite is the 3M brand.

Now take your stitched cut hearts and arrange them in a cluster both inside and outside of the envelope. Pop up a few of the hearts with some foam tape for added dimension. Viola! your card is done. For a bit of sparkle and shine, you can brush on some wink of stella glitter brush pen to your stitched hearts.

January Poppystamps

I just adore this card and all the stitching. I hope today's card tutorial has inspired you to either case my exact design or create you own version of the card using the same dies from the new release. Thanks for joining me today. Until next time... happy crafting!

Rainbow Shaker
by Sue McRae

Hello crafters! Sue here with a colourful rainbow shaker card.

I love a good rainbow so I decided to pull out some of my favorite alcohol inks and make a rainbow heart card. I used Yupo paper, alcohol inks, blending solution, rubbing alcohol and an air blower.

I put some blending solution on the yupo and added dots of color in a row up the paper and moved the ink around with the air blower until I was happy with the blending.

Using the Grid Heart Frame I die cut the panel, adhered a piece of clear plastic on the back and added a double layer of foam tape around the frame and in between each row of hearts. If you only add foam to the outside of the panel all the sequins would fall to the bottom and I didn't want that. I wanted to have sequins in each row of hearts and I wanted the sequins in each row to match the colour of the inks.

I adhered white card stock to the back of the panel so the sequin colours would pop against the white.

For the sentiments I used three from the Whittle Love Sentiments set that are perfect for sending to a friend. I white heat embossed the sentiments on black card stock and punched them out with circle punches. I wanted to keep the sentiments small so they wouldn't cover up too much of the fabulous rainbow shaker!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. Hope you make a shaker card for a friend, I know it will put a smile on her face!

Valentine Tag Cards
by Nancy Penir

Valentine Poppy Greetings friends! I have a post full of Love today, using some of the latest Poppystamps release. Better have a cuppa with you, I just couldn't stop once I got started! Come take a look.

First, created my pattern Cardstock with Memory Box's new Drifting Hearts Stencil. A few with Distress Ink,

and a few with embossing paste.

To add color, I mixed a few drops of re-inker to my Mat Gel Medium. Also I lightly sprayed the back of the stencil with Pixie Spray. It's slightly sticky and holds the stencil in place and prevents the gel from spreading beyond the holes.

When the mat gel was dry, I cut out my tags. The Stitched Tunnel Tags has several sizes to choose from. I used the largest and also the 3rd largest. This is a photo of all the pieces I used on my 4 tags.

The 3 layers of tags aren't glued together, just free to move. this one has some Valentine Washi on the bottom.

All tags have a 3rd piece of white card stock cut from the largest tag die, so I can write my message as I would

inside a card.

The red tag on this one is stamped with one of the images from Valentine's Fun, one of Poppy's new stamp sets.

This tag was stamped with Poppy's Picnic Plaid.

All have matching envelopes and glitter heart seals. To create the address label, I die cut smaller tag, turned it, and cut the bottom again for a mask, then stenciled on the hearts. Also added a bit of red shadow around the mask. I ran the die cut heart through my Xyron sticker maker, creating a seal for the back flap.

The tag/card measures 3 x 5 1/4" and fits perfectly in an A2 envelope.

Hope you're inspired to try a tag/card. It's the perfect Valentine for those special people in your life!

Love Field
by Michele K. henderson

Hello Friends!

We are so happy that you could join us here on the Poppystamps blog today! Today, I am sharing a bright and cheerful card that features our brand new Meadowblossom Frame and Stencil. Take a look!

To create this flowery frame, all you need is TWO dies, Meadowblossom Frame and Love Outline. Then start cutting! I began with a blue back card panel, and added the Meadowblossom Frame in lime green. Then I cut the frame again in pink, yellow, red, orange, and pale purple. I cut the Love Outline in white and gold. Then I cut out each and every little flower I wanted to add to the frame and arranged my design.

Once everything was in place, I began gluing, carefully lining up the flowers to the stems.

I added the shiny gold and white Love Outline to the center of the big pink heart! It looks so fresh and springy! Then I finished the card off with teeny tiny coppery colored sparkles, and it's ready to send off for a little Valentine's Day surprise, any day of the year!

Thanks so much for joining us here on the Poppystamps blog!

You are amazing
by Tina Wilstrup

Hi Poppy fans! For todays card I took inspiration in the current situation in Australia. It is absolutely heartbreaking and my heart goes out to everyone affected.

First I ink blended a panel to symbolize the blazing fire and set this aside to dry.

I then ink blended another panel to symbolize the burnt trees. After this panel dried I cut it with the Tall skyline Tree frame.

I cut out the Peek a boo koala and colored it. Then I cut off the frame.

I white heat embossed a sentiment on the cut frame and adhered it to the base panel. I adhered the koala as well. From a piece of white cardstock I cut the Samba heart border and measured where I wanted to score it. I then adhered the left side of the panel to the back of the base.

After adhering the half front, heart cut panel I used my stamping tool to measure where I wanted the sentiments. I didn't want them showing through the cut out hearts.

I added a couple of dots of black Nuvo drops as eyes and nose for the koala.

On the "inside" I adhered a couple of the cut out hearts from the border. Let's all pray for the survival of the unique and endemic animals of Australia.

Valentine Fun
by Dana Kirby

Good Morning Friends! It is Dana here again today sharing a set of Valentine's Day cards with you all.

I started my card by using the Grid Heart Frame Die. I ran it through my die cutting machine two times, once with white cardstock and once with glittered cardstock.

I then attached my Grid Heart Frame to my A2 card base and inlaid all the little hearts back into the frame with liquid glue.

Next, I cut a piece of white cardstock .75 inches wide and covered the third row of hearts. * I did this to allow my sentiment to stand out and not be distracted by the hearts showing through to my sentiment. I then used the Valentine's Fun stamp set and stamped my sentiment onto a piece of vellum. I wrapped this around my card panel and attached it to the back with a piece of tape.

I just love how I was able to create two cards with two passes through my die cutting machine.

I am loving this die! I can't wait to create a rainbow of inlaid hearts in my next card.

Thanks for joining me today. I will be back soon to share another project with you all.
