Graceful Heart Frame Inlay
by Jeanne Jachna

Graceful-Heart-Frame-Three

Hi friends!  It's Jeanne here today and I'm absolutely loving the Poppystamps new Valentine's release.  I sure hope you are too!  Our blog blitz is over but there's still time to enter to win some of the new dies for yourself.  You have until January 19 to go back and leave a comment on all the posts you wish to enter.  If you're a fan of instagram we have giveaways there too.  On Instagram you can tag a friend and if chosen you BOTH win the new die.

Craft dies are hands down my favorite craft item.  I love the clean crisp lines, and every time I cut one it's just magic to me!
Graceful-Heart-Frame-One
I cut the Graceful Heart Frame die from white card stock and used up lots of colorful card stock scraps to fill in the die cut openings.   If you look close you'll see I tried to soften the color for an ombre effect like you see with ink blending.  The turquoise at the bottom of the card is much darker than the inlay cuts at the top in soft aqua. I added a few different shades of green card stock for the foliage too.
Graceful-Heart-Frame
The Love Flourish craft die fits perfectly inside the heart die cut opening for a simple sentiment.   I think it would be fun to add a photograph in the opening for an anniversary card.  The stamped sentiment is from the Valentine Fairies stamp set.  The simple type font contrasts well with the fanciful Love Flourish.

Graceful-Heart-Frame-Two
This would also be a great card for our monthly challenge "From the Heart".  Link up your designs for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to the store.

Thanks for stopping by and have a beautiful day!   Hugs!

A beautiful inlay card Jeannie! Love that graceful heart frame!! TFS

Beautiful design and such an elegant sentiment and technique.

Love the way you combined this beautiful frame die and the flourish die. Your choice of colors for the inlay is spot on. I wouldn't have thought to inlay the black but it really makes the rest of the colors pop. Thanks for the inspiration!

Fantastic card! What a great way to use up some bits too.
