Whittle Merry Christmas by Sue McRae

My card focuses on the cute Whittle dies that Poppystamps offers. I just love how charming all the images are in this series. 

I created a window card by die cutting an Art Deco Frame four times out of my card panel.

I wanted to do some inking behind each of the window so I lined the panel up on my card front and made pencil marks so I knew where all the windows would be to do my ink blending. Then I masked off each window section and used some aqua ink to create a gradient of colour.

To add a little more interest to each window I flicked on aqua ink in a shade darker than I used for the ink blending, some white acrylic paint and Perfect Pearls. I put a bit of all of these products on an acrylic block, added a bit of water to them, dipped my paint brush in and flicked away!

For each of the whittle dies I used paper from the new Memory Box Dashing Stripes and Dots pad and the Dashing Holiday pad. There's a lot of fun patterns in these pads that are good for Christmas and throughout the year.

I popped up all the die cuts and the window panel with foam squares and added the sentiment which was white heat embossed on black card stock.

Love how this turned out and it was quick and easy to make!
