Fall / Halloween Blog Blitz Begins
By Jeanne Jachna

Surprise-Skeleton-Five
EEK!  It's another great day here at Poppystamps as we begin our Fall / Halloween Blog Blitz!  If you're loving the cooler temps and beginning to think about card making and home decor projects for fall/Thanksgiving and Halloween you're in the right place!  Our Blog Blitz is a time  for us to share projects made with the latest release - and yes!  give some prizes too!   Today I'm sharing the NEW Surprise Skeleton - and that's today's prize too!
Surprise-Skeleton-Two
I confess that my favorite holiday is HALLOWEEN!  There is something absolutely magical about the bright colors, costumes, and late night festivities that I just can't resist.
Surprise-Skeleton
The Surprise Skeleton cuts the negative portion of the die - so you're left with the skeleton inside an open circle.  He makes a wonderful silhouette perfect for making a shaker.  I cut the Surprise Skeleton from white card stock. Next I cut the die cut with a circle die so he is free from the background.  Make sure you use a circle slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the frame.   Next I adhered a Double Stitched Circle Frame over the skeleton die cut.
Surprise-Skeleton-Five
The card base is topped with a slightly smaller panel of black card stock.  I cut strips of 1 1/8 x 4" green and purple card stock and adhered them together on their reverse side.   I trimmed the assembled panel so that it is slightly smaller than the black panel and adhered it in place.   The orange center strip is 2 1/2 x 5 1/4".  I used the same circle die as above on the skeleton to cut a window at the top and bottom of the orange panel.   I adhered the assembled framed skeletons over the die cut holes and added clear acetate to the back of the orange panel.  Black Ric Rac Stitches are adhered to the reverse of the orange panel for a fun look against the stripes.  I added adhesive foam tape around the openings on the reverse side of the assembled panel, placed sequins on the striped panel (placing them where the windows would be) and adhered the panel over them.
Surprise-Skeleton-Four
A sentiment from the new Halloween Fun stamp set is placed between the two shakers on the front of the card. I added a few sequins to the card front to look like they escaped!
Surprise-Skeleton-One
So fun right?  Ok now what you've been waiting for!  The prize!
