A Little Christmas In July
by Marybeth Lopez
Hello , Marybeth here today with a Little Christmas In July . I don't think I ever had a chance to use this gorgeous Poinsettia Delight set from Poppystamps until now, boy do I love it.
I also used Poppystamps clear stamp set called Christmastime.
Using these clear jewel beads I decided to adhere them to the card upside down.... for some reason they were way more shinny... I think it only works with clear jewels .
I was just going to post this for fun so I didn't get any how to photos. When I realized all my stamps and dies are from Poppystamps I decided to post here on the blog to share.
I did get a photo of the products I used . I used all white paper for my blooms... all the color came from ink blending with these amazing brushes ( if you don't have any, you can also use make-up brushes)
I added a bit of shimmer to the finished bloom and some yellow drops to the center. At first I added gold drops to the center and they all ran together , I made the decision to take off the gold drops( while still wet) with thin paper and it worked!!!! I then added Nuvo yellow drops. Got lucky there :)
I hope this card will inspire you to make a few Christmas cards early when things aren't so hectic the closer we get to Christmas ( that would be me)
Thank you for stopping by and thank you for all the sweet comments on my past post. Hugs to you all.
