Rainbow Distress Peaceful Dove
By Jeanne Jachna

Rainbow-Bird-Collage-Two
I'm sharing three cards today that all feature a rainbow distress background that would look great with  just about any dies in your collection.
Rainbow-Bird
I recently purchased some Yoseng make up brushes from Amazon.  They are very reasonably priced (compared to stencil brushes) so I thought I'd give them a try.  They are amazing!  The ink goes on in less than half the time and the results are soft and line free.   The brushes come in many different sizes and I wasn't sure what would be best so I bought a variety pack.   The large are great for distressing large areas (half or entire card front)  but if you want to work with stencils or ink smaller spaces you'll want to use a smaller brush.   The one I used for this panel is the 1 3/8" head.   You will have to experiment to see what size works best for you.  I have one brush for each color family (red, yellow, orange etc.) and haven't had to wash them yet.  When I want to switch to a lighter color I simply brush on a piece of scrap paper until all the ink is off the brush.    When your panel is to your liking you can splatter it with water if you like.

This card was made with the Peaceful Dove Collage cut from a piece of white card stock and then layered over a rainbow distress ink panel.   I trimmed the edges so the rainbow colors peek out around the edges of the panel too!

For my second card I cut the Peaceful Dove die from a distress inked panel to create a shaker.   I adhered acetate to the back of the die cut window, placed adhesive foam tape around the opening, filled it with sequins and then topped it with some card stock before adhering the panel to the card base.   The die cut dove is fixed in place with glue over the acetate.

After I cut out that beautiful dove I couldn't throw it away!  So I made one more!
Rainbow-Stripe-Bird-Two
I painted stripes of distress ink on a watercolor panel and then topped it with the Peaceful Dove I cut to create the shaker card above.

These came together easy and their packed with rainbow color!  What a great way to surprise someone "just because" and say "hello"!

THIS IS GORGEOUS, Jeanne!!! ALL THREE of your cards! I DO NEED the Peaceful Dove Dies!It is SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DIE! I TOO LOVE the make-up brushes! LOL I JUST ordered another set for my face! Wouldn't do to use the ones I use on my cards now, would it? LOL I might end up with colors streaked across my face, rather than smooth color, if I grabbed the wrong brush! LOL HEY, if they work that nicely on my paper..... ;) <3

Hi Jeanne, All three are stunning, I love the rainbow colourways and your blending is fabulous, as are the die-cuts too. I must admit these brushes are fabulous, I bought them the first time you mentioned them and the blending is brilliant. Thank you.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

It is amazing how different the three looks are - brilliant. I bought the brushes too! See we are listening to you, even if there aren't so many comments.

Absolutely amazing!
